Hi! I’m Daniela,

The name Growing Up Rooted came from an intention to help my daughters grow up feeling grounded. I’ve often felt a bit like a kite, and over time I’ve learned ways to feel centered. Some of my favorites are gardening and working with herbs. I ran a small nature school in my backyard when we lived up in the mountains, and with the support of that community I began sharing my remedies with others, which slowly grew into a business. Gardening, herbalism and entrepreneurship have become pillars for me and the places where I shine as a homeschooling mother. In so much else, I often feel like I’m failing.

I was born in Colombia, to women who wove herbs into everyday life—caring for the body, calming the nerves, treating a cold. Though my path has taken me across countries and through many phases of life, I carry their wisdom with me, along with the teachings of many others I’ve met along the way.

Here, you’ll find:

My goal is to support your return to the earth, to yourself, and to the cycles that nourish us. Whether you're just beginning your herbal journey or deep in the work of creating a more aligned life, I'm so glad you're here.
