The Garden School

Nature School is open twice a year in spring and fall for 8 weeks. During this time, students experience the transition from winter to spring and summer to fall as the garden moves through a cycle of birth, growth and inevitable death. Students spend time in community playing and learning about the ecosystem, regenerative gardening, herbalism and the food cycle from soil to plate to compost.

Kids ages 5-12
Spring session starts April 3rd and runs for 8 weeks until March 22nd
Wednesdays 11am - 1pm, or 2 - 4pm

Learn More About Nature School

For kids interested in learning how to start and run a small business. Joins us for 8 weeks as we develop a business idea and take the initial steps to make it a reality. The teacher, Daniela Rey, is an entrepreneur with a background in marketing and branding. She will guide students as they brainstorm business ideas, develop a brand for their product or service, and produce photos and videos to market their idea.

As part of this program, the kids will have a booth at a market twice to practice presenting their offerings to their community.

Kids ages 10-15
Spring session starts April 4th and runs for 8 weeks until March 23rd
Thursdays 11am to 1pm
Requirements: A working Gmail address and a laptop, chrome book or iPad.
Price: $50/class for a total of $400

This is an 8-week series for kids 5-12 years old. We’re excited to welcome Spanish teacher Elizabeth Rhodes to Village Roots with this first session of beginner Spanish for kids.
